Sally Pembery is the lead practitioner at Sally Pembery Associates. She qualified as a state registered Chiropodist/Podiatrist from the Northern College in 1984 and following several years of general podiatry in the NHS, she embarked on a bachelor's degree in Podiatric Medicine at Brighton University.
In 1998/99 Sally Pembery established the private practice in Esher and Hinchley Wood, whilst continuing to provide podiatry service to employees of Harrods Department Store. The move to private practice allowed Sally to concentrate on the aspects of the job she felt were important, allowing her to set her own timings for appointments and flexible return dates for better patient management & care. It also allowed her to focus on her long term interests in biomechanics and sports injuries. To this end, she achieved an MSc in Clinical Podiatric Biomechanics at Staffordshire University.
During her bachelor's degree studies at Brighton University, Sally's final thesis looked at self perceived roles and role responsibilities, enabling her to bring together her love of her profession and her interest in psychological processes. During her studies at Staffordshire University, her final thesis looked to establish a protocol that essentially mimicked the sensory loss & sensory loss and deformity experienced in diabetic patients with a view to understanding the associated pressure changes to the feet within this complex group of patients. These studies helped make her an expert in the field of Podiatry.
Sally regularly attends CPD update courses and tries to ensure that the practice keeps a pace with technology in the field and up to date equipment, whether it be for gait analysis, orthotic prescription, advanced verruca treatments or nail fungus treatments.
In addition to her thriving private practice, Sally & her Associates have also provided Podiatry services to Fulham, Chelsea and QPR Football clubs, and The All England Tennis Club during the Wimbledon Championships.
